The university on Friday hosted a ceremony in honour of the Queen’s birthday tomorrow (Saturday).
Participants were given the seedlings to take home and cultivate.
The marigolds are expected to produce yellow blossoms in time for the October 25-29 funeral rites of the late King Bhumibol.
Yellow is the colour associated with Monday, the day the late monarch was born.
The Kasetsart campaign is officially titled “Growing Marigolds on Mother’s Day to Bloom for Father’s Ceremonies”.
