Pickup falls into hole caused by floods in Phang Nga

A pickup truck fell into a big hole caused by flash flooding in Phang Nga on Saturday morning, but no one was injured.

Sayan Kijmano, chief of the Phang Nga Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Office, said the accident happened early in the morning on Ao Wek road in Ban Thung La-ong village in Tambon Bang Wan in Khura Buri district.
He said the flash floods washed off part of the road, leaving a two-metre-wide gap and the driver of the pickup could not stop in time before plunging into it.
He said the driver was not injured and the vehicle has been salvaged.
