‘Nemo’ vandal sought in Krabi

The Bt20,000 reward has been announced for anyone who provides information leading to the arrest of the vandal who destroyed four clownfish statues at a Krabi riverside spot where tourists often stop for souvenir photos.

Muang Krabi Municipality deputy mayor Channarong Leelaburanapong inspected the damage to the clownfish statues on Uttarakij Road on Monday.
The statues – dubbed “Nemo” after the Hollywood cartoon movie – were installed at the spot for tourists and members of the public enjoying the Krabi riverside and view of the mangroves, he said.
“These statues are state property so we will take photographic evidence and assess the damage to file a police complaint. The mayor has also offered Bt20,000 reward for anyone who can provide information leading to the arrest of the vandal,” he added.
