TrueVisions announced in a press statement on Wednesday that subscribers of packages lower than Platinum will receive an upgrade to the next higher level for one month. Those who is already subscribing to the highest-level package or Platinum package will get 1,000 True Reward Points that can be used to buy goods at 7Eleven shops.
The broadcasting committee of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission has approved TrueVisions’s request to stop airing of HBO HD, Cinemax and four other channels of HBO as of January 1.
As part of the remedy measures, TrueVisions will air Warner TV, Paramount Channel HD, Celestial Classic Movies, Food Network, Fox Action Movies HD, Sony Channel and True Film HD 2 starting January 1, the statement said.
For customers who wish to terminate subscription following the cancellation of HBO channels, TrueVisions will allow them to terminate the contract immediately. Or they can seek to downgrade their package to cheaper one, the statement added.
TrueVisions will exempt installation fee for those who wish to terminate contract even if they have subscribed for less than six months, the statement said. Subscribers can inform TrueVisions of their wish to terminate the contract within February 28.
Those who have paid the subscription fee six months or 12 months will also be refunded after the contract is terminated, the statement said.
