The television station, broadcast on Channel 22 digital TV, won the best TV news documentary award for its report entitled “Whose Land of Gold Is This?”. The documentary was broadcast during the station’s Rak Lok (Loving the World) programme last year.
Also, Nation TV won two honourable mention awards for its news documentary on “In the Midst of Contaminants”, which was broadcast as part of the Jud Chanuan programme, and for a live coverage of the third public hearing on the Thepha coal-fired power plant project.
A total of 119 entries from producers of radio and TV reports and documentaries were submitted for this year’s competition organised by the Sangchai Sunthornvut Foundation and the Thai Broadcast Journalists Association.
