Loan-shark gang leader arrested for gun attack

The alleged gang leader of “Namwan (sweet water) Credit Gang”, accused of spraying bullets at the house of a female debtor in Pathum Thani last October, was arrested in a temple in Chanthaburi province where he had sought refuge for meditation, the Crime

The alleged gang leader, Pathomsak Krudwattana, 28, who had reportedly confessed to the crime was initially charged with attempted murder, being in possession of guns and ammunition without permission, taking such weapons to a public place without sound reason, and damaging private property. 
The Namwan gang is allegedly linked to another large loan-shark network in Nonthaburi and Chanthaburi provinces, lending money to people at high interest rates and allegedly resorting to violence to collect debts
