Police plan re-enactment of Chuwong crash

CRIME Suppression Police will by the end of this month conduct a simulation of how construction tycoon Chuwong Saetang died in a car crash on June 26, in a bid to uncover further clues in the case.

Crime Suppression chief Pol Maj-General Akaradech Pimonsri said yesterday that police would inspect the car involved in the accident.
Banyin Tangpakorn, Chuwong’s friend and a former deputy commerce minister, has already been summoned to bring it in.
Police haven’t ruled out the possibility of murder, Akaradech said.
After presiding over a meeting of investigators on Chuwong’s case at headquarters, he said that so far 50 witnesses had been interviewed and had provided useful and solid leads.
Police still had to question witnesses for more information on business transactions and had to wait for more evidence from the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Udomsuk Police Station, but the probe should be wrapped up by early next month, he said.
