The city will later discuss the entire plan with the NCPO so as to ensure the effort is integrated with other provinces in the vicinity.
The 17 projects were selected from 66 that had been proposed to the previous administration’s Water and Flood Management Commission, BMA deputy permanent-secretary Sanya Cheenimitr said yesterday. The 17 projects, deemed as urgent and important, will span five fiscal years (2015-2019) and will focus on the development of flood-preventing and water-draining system in neighbouring provinces, the main canals’ dredging as well as the construction of flood barriers and water-draining tunnels, he explained.
