"We dare to say that we are one of the country's top catering service providers in the industry," she said, pointing to the company's consistent growth over the last 30 years.
Even in difficult times, such as the Covid-19 pandemic, SawSamSai managed to operate its business, she said, as proof of the demand for its services.
Despite the catering industry's promising post-Covid growth, Phanprapa said she felt the need to expand her services to include wedding planning.
She said that SawSamSai had actually assisted in organising such once-in-a-lifetime events when the company participated as a catering provider. Therefore, the move was just another step that SamSamSai needed to take in order to meet the needs of its clients.
She pointed out that it is yet another journey to keep the business moving forward.
"When a couple is planning their wedding, food is usually the last thing on their mind. So we just take a more active role so that we can be with them from the beginning," she explained. The real difficulty of holding a wedding ceremony is that the couple doesn't know what they need to do or where they need to start, she said.
SawSamSai's job is to figure out what the couple wants and then present options for them to choose from, such as locations, decorations, flowers, wedding gifts, stage rituals, light and sound, and, of course, food.
"Many couples come to see us with no idea of what they should do. They only have a rough idea of what their wedding theme will be. We just listen and make it happen within their budget," she said.
When asked why people should choose SawSamSai, she said their company was the only wedding planner with in-house catering services.
"We began with an authentic fine dining Thai restaurant before expanding to catering services simply because we wanted to be the first to approach the customer. And, of course, to increase our revenue," she said.
SawSamSai provides everything required to hold a wedding ceremony with flexibility. This means the couple can select which of the company's services they prefer to use, she said.
"We offer wedding planning options, and it is up to the couple to choose. They may prefer our food and location, but they may opt for flower decorations from other stores. They may have their own MC and bands, but could choose us to help run the queue and backstage," she said.
SawSamSai could help plan the ideal wedding ceremony, irrespective of whether it takes place on a beach, by a river, in a garden, in a small private home, or in a hotel, she said.
Meanwhile, having been at the forefront of the industry for over three decades, she pointed out that SawSamSai offers a wide range of prices and plans, noting that nothing is impossible for the company.
In addition to helping couples plan their weddings, SawSamSai also organises and caters events for various other occasions, such as birthday and anniversary celebrations, making merit, religious ceremonies for brand-new homes, blessings, and even funerals.
"We are a one-stop service caterers and organisers," Phanprapa said, noting that her company is currently booked to hold an event almost every day.
She anticipates continued growth of 20–50% in the following five years with more new revenue models, such as renting out equipment, thanks to the market's encouraging response.
