“GAIA Corporation” confirms no involvement in the news reporting that police raided the factory producing substandard medical gloves in Chonburi Province on 7 June 2021 and 8 June 2021 while clarifying details and preparing for legal actions after consumer confidence in its products has been affected.

Mr.Shuichi Ozawa, CEO of GAIA Corporation (Thailand) Company Limited, has clarified the news appeared in various media regarding the search conducted by police at the factory located at No. 95/12, Moo 4, Bueng Subdistrict, Sriracha District, Chonburi Province, where GAIA Corporation (Thailand) Company Limited has been described as the tenant. Upon examination of authorization information, it was found that such company had not been registered as a medical production facility pursuant to the Medical Device Act B.E. 2551 (2008) and had run the factory without a license to produce and distribute medical gloves which were substandard and packed in new boxes labelled as the other brand with international standards, to deceive both domestic and international customers.

As such news has caused damage to reputation of GAIA Corporation (Thailand) Company Limited, GAIA Corporation therefore would like to clarify that it is the actual tenant of such facility as reported in the news by renting from A TECH; however, it has not yet operated its business or even once entered the facility as A TECH, the lessor, has not yet transferred it to GAIA Corporation.

For the case that police searched the warehouse located at Moo 11, Huay Yai Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province and found illegal medical gloves, GAIA Corporation would like to clarify that it has no involvement in such case and has not rented such facility.

Therefore, based on the information recently appeared in various media, GAIA Corporation (Thailand) Company Limited would like to confirm that it has no involvement in the situation which has affected its business reputation and confidence.

At present, GAIA Corporation (Thailand) Company Limited has consulted its legal team to clarify the situation and assessed damages while preparing for legal actions at its best.
