Former CEO returning to run Nation TV
Nation Multimedia Group (NMG) has invited Nation Broadcasting Corporation (NBC)’s former chief executive officer Adisak Limparungpatanakij to return to the news broadcaster, NMG chairman of the executive directors, Shine Bunnag said on Tuesday.
Shine said that he would ask the NBC board to approve the appointment of Adisak as CEO on Thursday, so that he could start work on Friday (November 13) or Monday.
Adisak stated on Facebook that he had exchanged opinions with Shine before accepting the offer to return to NBC. He added that he and Shine shared a common goal of building audience trust in all of Nation TV’s news content. The channel’s role as a gatekeeper is to present unbiased and verified facts, he said.
Several of the channel's veteran news anchors, including Kanok Ratwongsakul, have recently announced their resignations.
Shine said Kanok's tenure as an NBC news anchor was exemplary from the first day to the last.
