Some 20 companies have applied for a licence with the SEC to operate businesses concerning digital assets. Of the 20 firms, 10 have already obtained licences – four for operating digital asset exchange, two for digital asset broking, one to become a digital asset deal and three to become initial coin offering (ICO) portal service providers.
The ICO portal service provider acts as a financial adviser to companies planning to launch an ICO. Its role is to examine the purpose of the ICO launch and business plans of the companies planning to offer the ICO.
