Cabinet delays gas-field decision
Cabinet yesterday did not consider the final bids for two gas fields – Erawan and Bongkot – after the Energy Minister proposed it as an urgent agenda item.
“The cabinet will consider the matter on the normal agenda for the cabinet meeting on December 18, because they need to take the time to consider this issue,” Sompop Pattanariyankool, director of Policy and Strategy Co-ordination Office said after the cabinet meeting yesterday.
He added that the Energy Ministry cannot to disclose the name of the winner until after the Cabinet approval.
