ADB invests in Thai roads

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the government have signed a US$99.4-million loan to help the country upgrade 125km of highway and improve road safety management in the northeast.

The agreement was signed by ADB governor Apisak Tantivorawong and its Asean director general Ramesh Subramaniam.
Minister of transport Arkhom Termpittayapaisith and representatives from the Public Debt Management Office at the Department of Highways attended the signing ceremony in Bangkok.
