Thai securities firms do facilitate investments in bitcoin futures, however, when the currency is issued by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) or CBOE Futures Exchange under the US Commodity Futures Trading Commission, a member of International Organisation of Securities Commission.
The CME and CBOE form the market for Thai brokerage firms that are allowed to invite their customers to invest.
The SEC warned, though, that investors should consider the high risk stemming from fluctuations in bitcoin values.
