Panom Khuansathaporn, the company’s president, said AGE has formed a joint venture company with Fuzhou Xindian Fuel Co Ltd in China via AGE Global Trade (a fully-owned subsidiary of AGE), in order to prepare for growth in China’s coal market. The new company is expected to be operational in the first quarter of next year.
AGE’s sales target in China is 300,000 tonnes per year.
In Vietnam, AGE set up VINA AGE Co Ltd in August this year, and plans to sell 200,000 tonnes of coal per year.
With overseas sales growth, AGE’s export-domestic ration has moved from 20-80 to 30-70, Panom said.
“Earnings are expected to rise by 5 per cent in 2018, up from 2 per cent this year,” he said.
