Auto sales in Thailand rose 21.9 per cent in September to 77,592 units, while the nine-month aggregate figure reached 620,715, equivalent to an increase of 11.5 per cent, according to compiler Toyota Motor Thailand Co Ltd.
New models and attractive promotions helped fuel both the passenger car and commercial vehicle markets, which grew 14.9 per cent and 26.6 per cent, respectively.
Toyota says growth should remain in October as auto companies race to maximise sales before the year ends. More new models are planned along with strong sales campaigns.
