These ventures are part of a 30-restaurant development agreement between Hooters of America and Destination Resorts to expand Hooters’ presence throughout Southeast Asia.
Hooters Pattaya is being developed into an 810-square-metre venue consisting of two bars, 50 high-definition televisions and two outdoor patios where guests can relax and take in the scenic views over Pattaya Bay.
Destination Resorts said that this Wild West-themed restaurant would allow locals and tourists to experience a genuine Hooters-themed bar and restaurant in Thailand featuring a US-style bucking bull, delicious food, world-famous chicken wings and Hooters girl hospitality.
Toby Paul Crowder, vice president for food and beverages of Destination Resorts, said his company planned to hit the 30-branch target within five years.
"In Thailand, besides Phuket, we are going to open Hooters Bangkok in September, Hooters Pattaya in November and Hooters Samui early next year," he said.
"We are confident that Hooters restaurants will succeed due to the number of visitors to Thailand that continues to increase, but also for locals who are looking for new places to hang out, and the iconic Hooters girls offering a different and more friendly style of service at Hooters restaurants."
On September 18, Hooters plans to celebrate the opening of Hooters Bangkok. Located at the Four Points by Sheraton Hotel on Sukhumvit 15, it is a 253sqm venue that includes a bar designed over two floors.
Locals and tourists will experience the unique Hooters restaurant theme, world-famous chicken wings and 25 Hooters girls, Crowder said.
Destination Resorts is a travel and resort destination company.
