Under the investment scheme, in seven years, there is a high-speed train project to link Bangkok and Nakhon Ratchasima, which promises the travelling time of only 90 minutes. Aside, two double-track rail routes are planned for the Northeast, which will also benefit Nakhon Ratchasima. A new motorway, linking the province with Bang Pa-In, is planned.
At the "Thailand Future 2020" roadshow, opened in the province today, Chadchart said in his speech that the investment would spur economic growth in all regions of Thailand particularly the Northeast. Nakhon Ratchasima is likened as a the gateway to the region.
