The competition between Chang and Singha to become the best beer company has gone to the next level, with the firms investing in the food and beverage businesses.

Fraser and Neave, under the management of Thai Beverage Public Company, the owner of Chang, has become allies with Maxim Group after buying the Starbucks franchise in Thailand.
Boon Rawd Brewery’s Singha Corporation has also made a move – combining the company with Santa Fe Steak owner KT Restaurant after buying 88 per cent of its shares.
They plan to expand their existing restaurant businesses such as Farm Design café, EST.333 restaurant and fine-dining restaurant R-Haan to control more market share in the competition.
