Mine attack occurs at a gas pipeline near Saeminekone Village in Hpa-an Township

A gas pipeline near Saeminekone Village, Hpa-an Township, Kayin State, was blown up by a mine at about 3:30 pm on November 16, according to residents.

A resident said that he saw flames coming out due to the gas pipeline explosion.

He continued, “I heard a loud explosion. I see the flames rising. A moment later, the fire engines arrived and extinguished the fire."

The resident also said that on November 16, he heard gunshots from Saeminekone Village next to Donethami Creek.

According to the residents, the gas pipeline that was destroyed by the mine was a gas pipeline that was connected to the Myaing Kalay cement factory.
