William, the eldest son of King Charles and the heir to the throne, is in Singapore for the annual Earthshot Prize which awards 1 million pounds to five winners developing solutions to environmental problems.
"I think it's very honourable that he came up with this Earthshot programme and competition," said Singaporean homemaker Chen-Tze Tan, who waited more than two hours to meet with the Prince, 11 years after her first interaction during his previous visit to Singapore in 2012.
As part of his Singapore visit, the first in more than a decade, William took part in a dragon boating event on Monday where he row alongside locals, British expatriates and Commonwealth representatives on the Kallang River.
