Bangkok ranks 4th most search tourist city this year

Bangkok ranks as the 4th most searched tourist city in the world for 2023. This reflects Thailand's popularity as a tourist destination and aims to further enhance its potential in tourism development.

The Prime Minister's Office spokesperson, Chai Watcharong, revealed on November 16 that according to a survey and ranking of the top 10 most searched tourist destinations worldwide for this year (Top 10 Most Searched Destinations Of 2023) conducted by eDreams Odigeo, a major travel company; Bangkok, the capital city of Thailand, secured the 4th position after London, Paris, and New York.

The spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office stated that Traveloffpath website affirmed Bangkok as one of the most popular destinations in Asia. It stands out for its unique blend of ancient temples, bustling markets, serene landscapes, offering tourists an experience akin to a cinematic journey. This distinctiveness is hard to replicate during the summer in European and American cities. Additionally, Bangkok boasts historical marvels like the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, embellished beautifully with the city's vibrant street life, floating markets, and lively food streets.

The top 10 most searched destinations in the world for 2023 are:

1. London, United Kingdom

3. New York, United States

4. Bangkok, Thailand

5. Barcelona, Spain

6. Istanbul, Turkey

7. Tokyo, Japan

8. Rome, Italy

9. Milan, Italy

10. Madrid, Spain

This ranking underscores Thailand's potential as a tourist destination that garners significant attention from travelers. Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin express gratitude for the collaboration of all agencies in driving Thailand's tourism industry to grow stronger.

Moreover, the Prime Minister extended thanks to tourists who have shown trust and enthusiasm for tourism in Thailand. 

The government commits to strategies that enhance tourist infrastructure, convenience, safety measures, and presents tourist models that meet traveler demands while maintaining the distinct Thai identity and prominent culture, Chai said.
