The net worth of former deputy prime minister Prawit Wongsuwan increased by around 1.8 million baht during his nine years in government.
The National Anti-Corruption Commission disclosed a list of asset and liability declarations of 18 political officeholders.
Among the notable names were Prayut, who left office on September 5, 2023.
Prayut declared his assets and liabilities after stepping down as prime minister, along with his spouse Naraporn Chan-o-cha. Their combined assets amounted to 130,191,162 baht, with no reported liabilities.
Of the total, Prayut's assets were valued at 98,663,683 baht, while Naraporn's assets were valued at 31,527,479 baht.
Prayut and Naraporn had declared total assets valued at 128,664,535 baht and total liabilities of 654,745 baht on September 4, 2014, when Prayut assumed the office of PM.
This means that their assets increased by 2,181,372 baht over the past nine years.
General Prawit Wongsuwan, a bachelor according to his declaration, reported a net worth of 89,214,637.10 baht. Additionally, he mentioned owning only one watch, a TW Steel brand, valued at 15,000 baht.
In 2014, his net worth was 87,373,757 baht. In his nine years in power, Prawit’s net worth increased by around 1,840,880 baht.
