'Khanun' to bring heavy rain to 38 provinces
The Meteorological Department is warning 38 provinces to be prepared for very heavy rain, flash flooding and forest runoff as tropical storm Khanun gains strength and moves over North Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin towards to the upper northern region and the upper part of Laos.
Meanwhile, the southwestern monsoon will bring heavy rain to some areas of the north, northeast, east, central, and southern regions.
Bangkok is has a 60% chance of rain.
Wave height in the upper Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand is likely to reach 2-3 metres, decreasing to 2 metres in the lower Andaman Sea and Gulf of Thailand.
