Mozart's "Coronation Mass" and the music of HM King Bhumibol
A special program of classical music to mark HM the King's birthday will be held at the Thailand Cultural Center on July 26.
The Plunge Chamber Choir from Lithuania will be a special addition to the King’s Birthday Concert to be held on July 26, 2017 at the Main Hall of the Thailand Cultural Center. The choir joins various Thai choirs in the Mozart “Coronation Mass” as well as performing some special selections that they will later be presenting in the Grand Prix choir competition in Pattaya a few days later.
Members of the International Choir Festival, Siam Sinfonietta, Siam Philharmonic and soloists Stacey Tappan, Jak Cholvojarn, Pop Chaiporn, Damian Whiteley and many others join together to celebrate the birthday of His Majesty the King with a triumphant performance of Mozart’s “Coronation Mass”. Plus, a preview of Siam Sinfonietta’s upcoming ASEAN tour with music by His Majesty the late King Rama IX and excerpts from the Suriyothai Ballet Suite. Conducted by Somtow Sucharitkul and Trisdee na Patalung, a concert of colorful, festive music.
