AirAsia is set to fly Bangkok-Bangalore route

AirAsia will operate five direct flights per week to Bangalore from Bangkok, starting from September 1. The promotion air fare (Bt1,490/trip) is now available for booking at its website until July 5.

AirAsia, the World’s Best Low Cost Airline 7 years running (2009-2015) as ranked by SkyTrax, prepares big plans for the latter half of the year with an eye to penetrate the Indian market starting with the launch of 5 direct flights a week to India’s south.  
“Bangkok-Bangalore” takes passengers to one of India’s most progressive cities to witness its cutting edge technology, medicine and education.  The route debuts with a promotional fare starting at Bt1,490 per trip, available for booking now through www.airasia.com and the AirAsia Mobile App.
Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia, made known this year has seen Thai AirAsia expand to many more routes.  From the start of the year the airline has added Nan, Loei, Roi Et and Buri Ram, all well received.  For the latter half of the year, the airline plans to expand internationally both in its biggest market of China and to India where it has noted many interesting opportunities.

Bangalore, also known as Bengaluru, is the fifth largest city of India and has its third largest population.  The city is known for its technology and education and is a center for India’s IT and software industries, often called the Silicon Valley of India.
From September AirAsia flight FD 137 will depart Don Mueang International Airport at 9pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, and will arrive at Bengaluru International Airport at 11pm (local time). The returning flight (FD 138) will leave Bangalore at 11.45pm before landing at Bangkok at 5am. 
The city of Bagalore is home to many renowned universities such as Bangalore University, one of the foremost producers of IT professionals in the world.  It also contains many attractive tourism sites such as Vidhana Soudha, one of its most iconic buildings displaying a Neo Dravidian architecture.  Visitors should also view Bangalore Palace, which was inspired by England’s famed Windsor Palace, or Mysore Palace, with its over 500 years of history.
