The new robot was created to help doctors reduce their risk of infection, ease their workload and boost the efficiency of caretakers.
The robot was developed in cooperation with Mi Workspace, HG Robotics and Obodroid.
The group had previously created the “Pinto” and “Ninja” robots to help in the battle against the virus.
The Pinto robot is used to deliver food or medical supplies, while Ninja is connected to monitors that can send information about the patient’s blood pressure, pulse, temperature etc directly to the doctor.
The developers aim to provide 103 Pinto robots to medical personnel to mark the Chulalongkorn University Alumni Association’s 103rd anniversary this year. Presently, 20 such robots are working at Chulalongkorn, Siriraj and Vachira Phuket hospitals.
