Online media Techsauce, which focuses on promoting tech start-up stories, aims to spotlight Thailand’s tech start-up ecosystem to the world.

It claims its debut Techsauce Summit will be the most-attended regional flagship conference for top leaders in the Asian tech ecosystem.
Techsauce Summit takes place in Thailand on July 23 and 24 at the Centara Grand & Bangkok Convention Centre at Central World.
Techsauce co-founder Amarit Charoenphan said the Summit would spotlight Thailand’s tech start-up ecosystem; give meaning to Asia and the world through Thailand; and bring the prestige of tech startups to the Kingdom.
Organisers are promoting Techsauce Summit as one of the biggest tech conferences in Asia with over 3,000 attendees and 100 exhibitors from across the world.
“The biggest and only international tech conference in Thailand. In the past four years, we have had the biggest tech conference in Thailand - ‘Start it up’ conference - but in Thai,” said Amarit.
He said the plan is to bring startups from around the world to experience Thailand’s startup ecosystem and community. As of now, Thailand’s startups have together raised US$100 million in funds. By contrast, only one startup in nearby Indonesia – Tokopedia – has raised funds of US$147 million, while Malaysia’s GrabTaxi has US$350 million.
“Thai startups will benefit from the conference. We believe it will have big publicity, whatever investment or joint collaboration emerge from these two days of conference,” said Amarit.
At the conference, there will be interesting keynotes from top executives of billion dollar companies such as Daniel Kan Investor, co-founder of Cruise Automation and Nick Nash, group president of Garena Online.
The gathering will also bring the world’s top three accelerator and seed investors - including Y Combinator, Techstars, and 500 Startups, which have collectively invested in over 3,000 companies - to meet Thailand’s tech start-up community at the event.
Participants will meet over 100 venture capitalists who together manage over US$2 billion in funding.
“At the conference, we have seven stages, one main and another six side stages, deep diving into all the hot verticals in Asia tech in 2016 - including fintech, e-commerce, gaming, venture capital, startup essentials and smart business solutions,” said Amarit.
Four groups are targeting audiences including startups both in Thailand and the region; corporates and brands looking for technology and innovation to strengthen their businesses; investors and venture capitalists; and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) looking for technology and innovation to transform into smart SMEs.
