The Industry Ministry asked manufacturers and importers to voluntarily display the stickers from October 1, three months before the regulations would be enforced.
Hidesuke Takesue, president of the company, said that Mazda is ready to follow the regulations to show its good governance and business transparency. Starting from today, all vehicles released from Auto Alliance Thailand's plant would display the stickers.
The stickers are expected to raise awareness in carbon emission. Together with the stickers, the Thai authorities also revised the excise tax rates, to levy taxes accordingly to the CO2 ratings.
