HP appoints new managing director for Thailand

HP announced that Dhanawat Suthumpun will succeed Dr. Beng Teck Liang as managing director and director of Global Sales and Enterprise Marketing for HP Thailand, effective 1 December.

 

In this role, Suthumpun will be responsible for overseeing a broad hardware, software and services portfolio to drive the Instant-On Enterprise, whilst providing country leadership as managing director.   Based in Bangkok, Suthumpun will report to Narinder Kapoor, managing director and vice president of Global Sales and Enterprise Marketing, HP South East Asia.
 
Suthumpun has over 20 years of technology experience and has spent most of his career helping countless organisations across South East Asia grow and transform their businesses. Prior to joining HP, Suthumpun was general manager of telecommunications for IBM in the ASEAN region. In this role he was responsible for delivering profitable revenue growth, establishing strong market leadership and creating new revenue opportunities and business models for IBM’s telecommunications customers.
 
Prior to this, Suthumpun held a variety of industry, services and solutions specific roles at IBM, including executive of IBM Thailand’s Global Technology Services and client unit executive for IBM Thailand’s communications, industrial and distribution sector. During his 20 year tenure at IBM, Suthumpun built and developed a team of world-class consultants, managed a diverse portfolio of hardware, software and services and built customer-centric solutions to consistently deliver profitable revenue growth.

Suthumpun holds a Master in Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino and a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Assumption University, Bangkok.
