Chanthaburi prepares to celebrate Buddha’s footprint festival

Chanthaburi province on Thursday announced that the annual worship festival of Buddha’s footprint located atop the famed Khao Khitchakut mountain will start on February 10 and last until April 9.
Spiritual tourism is expected to generate 15 billion baht for the tourism industry this year, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) said on Monday, as it prepares to launch the year’s biggest festival to boost the interest of faith travellers.
