Thailand’s higher education minister and the director of the National Science Museum Thailand (NSM) are confident that the discovery of a second rare deep-sea Oarfish will enhance scientific knowledge about the shy creature that lurks deep in Thai waters.

A deep sea creature, “oarfish”, has been discovered in La-ngu district of Satun province, high-profile marine ecologist Thon Thamrongnawasawat revealed on his Facebook page on Wednesday.
