Bomb blast damages Chinese Consulate in Mandalay, no injuries reported

On October 18, at around 5 p.m., the Chinese Consulate located at the corner of 73rd Street and 102A Street in Chanmyathazi Township, Mandalay, was attacked with a bomb, damaging the roof of a two-story building inside the compound.

The authorities detained 13 people in Mandalay and seized weapons including 21 M-22 rifles, one M-16 rifle, their ammunitions, a homemade gun, 16 homemade bombs, 133 hand grenades, 2,400 detonators, 19 TNT bullets, a mine detector and 18 strings to explode bombs and they confessed that the weapons are intended for People Defence Force (PDF) in Tamu, announced Tatmadaw True News Information Team on June 3.
Series of bomb blasts hit Mandalay, at least 15 bombs went off: locals

According to locals, there were several bombs that exploded along widely used roads on May 14s evening.
They say that blasts occurred along 26th, 35th, 66th, 62nd and 84th roads and that those blasts could be heard from all over the city.
