Run, jump and climb through 5+km and 20+ fun and challenging obstacles at the world’s best obstacle race.

The world’s largest obstacle race – Spartan Race – arrives in Thailand for the first time this year. The inaugural event will be hosted at Siam Country Club in Chon Buri on September 9th 2017.

Organised by Exceed Sports and Entertainment, an award-winning mass participation events & sponsorship agency, the event is an ultimate test of strength and endurance and provides the people in Thailand of all fitness levels with the opportunity to challenge themselves and go beyond their limits.

Mr. Pranai Phornprapha, Managing Director, Exceed Sports and Entertainment said, “We are extremely excited to be partnering with the world’s fastest growing obstacle race to bring one of the most unique sport events to Thailand. Spartan Race will not only heat up Thailand’s mass participation event landscape but also bring in world-class sport experiences to Thai people while driving sport tourism in Thailand.”

The unique obstacle racing sport has seen over 240 races in more than 30 countries around the world, and will launch with two race formats in Thailand for the first edition – the Spartan Sprint and the Spartan Kids race.

Spartan Sprint is an exhilarating 5+km race featuring 20+ signature Spartan obstacles where participants of all fitness levels can challenge themselves to run, climb, push, pull, throw and crawl through walls, hills, trees, mud, barbed wire and other fun obstacles.

Spartan Kids race is for participants under the age of 14, is 2km in distance and features over 4 obstacles - a safe space for young Spartans to learn about teamwork, be active, and have fun!

All Spartan Sprint and Spartan Kids racers receive a Finisher Tee and a medal upon completion.

As part of the Spartan Race Thailand series, the organizer works with multiple local gym partners to host free community workouts as well as mass workouts to help registered and interested Spartans train for the race and meet fellow racers. These initiatives also help participants to learn essential training skills and focus on teamwork to achieve their goals.

The upcoming workouts will be available at selected boutique gyms such as BASE Bangkok, Training Ground, Khongsittha Muaythai, Unit21, Thanyapura, Titan Fitness and Crossfit Chiangmai around Bangkok, Phuket and Chiangmai.

“Spartan is a lifestyle and mindset as much as it is a sport. We would like all Thai people, including kids, to get active and challenge themselves to achieve fitness in both body and mind,”added Mr. Phornprapha.

Tickets for Spartan Sprint start from 1650 baht while tickets for Spartan Kids start from 500 baht. Finishers will receive medals and T-shirts.
