World university portal names Mahidol best university in Thailand

The platform, which serves as both a directory and search engine for universities worldwide, also named Asian Institution of Technology as the best private higher education institution in the kingdom.

UniRank says its League Table of the top Thai universities and colleges is based on valid, unbiased and non-influenceable web intelligence sources rather than data submitted by the universities themselves.

In the 2024 ranking, 123 Thai universities were required to meet the following uniRank selection criteria:

• Chartered, licensed or accredited by the appropriate Thai higher education-related organisation

• Offering at least three-year bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degrees

• Delivering courses predominantly in a traditional, non-distance education format

According to the uniRank list, the top 10 universities in ThailaThai universities are:

1. Mahidol University, Nakhon Pathom

2. Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok

3. Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai

4. Kasetsart University, Bangkok

5. Prince of Songkla University, Hat Yai

6. Khon Kaen University, Khon Kaen

7. Thammasat University, Bangkok

8. Asian Institute of Technology, Pathum Thani

9. Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Bangkok

10. King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, Bangkok

Its list of the top 10 private universities in Thailand is as follows:
