The office will propose that the visitors undergo Covid-19 tests in their own country, and again upon arrival in Thailand. They will also be required to purchase medical insurance covering treatment for Covid-19 as well as undergo a 14-day quarantine at “alternative” places in the EEC.
CCSA spokesperson Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin had announced earlier on Monday (June 22) that the government has resolved to allow seven groups of foreigners to enter the country, including permanent residents, those married to Thais, skilled labourers and investors.

The Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee also met on Monday to discuss the possible relaxation of lockdown measures to allow businesspersons related to EEC investment to enter the zone.
Business organization and chambers of commerce from some Asian countries have asked Thailand to relax lockdown measures and allow them entry for business purposes.
