PM gets thumbs up for dedication to fighting Covid-19: poll

A Super Poll survey gave high scores to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha for his dedication to tackling the Covid-19 outbreak.

Super Poll Research Centre conducted the survey on the Covid-19 problem on 1,126 people nationwide from April 25 to May 1 to evaluate the performance of the premier in solving the problem in many aspects since the outbreak until the present.
The respondents gave the premier 8.24 out of 10 for his dedication in tackling the problem and 7.85 for his follow-up efforts.
But Prayut got 5.29 for his measures to cope with the problems, 5.02 for remedial measures, and 5.01 for preprations to solve the problems.
When asked to named ministers who had helped ease the people's burden during the outbreak, 53.8 per cent of respondents mentioned Energy Minister Sontirat Sontijirawong for cutting electricity and fuel prices; 51.2 per cent named Finance Minister Uttama Savanayana for his cash handout scheme; 43.3 per cent named Interior Minister Anupong Paochinda for easing electricity and water cost, 12.9 per cent named Agricultural and Cooperatives Minister Chalermchai Sri-on for his relief measures for farmers, and 11.8 per cent named Industry Minister Suriya Juangroongruangkit for his mask distribution.
