Test results of eight out of 11 people in Phatthalung province for the new coronavirus (Covid-19) were negative, province Governor Kukiat Wongkrapun said on Thursday.
The first confirmed case in the province is a 56-year-old man who worked as a second for boxers. He had also visited Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok on March 12. He was tested for Covid-19 at Rajavithi Hospital after having flu-like symptoms but nothing was found. He returned to Phatthalung on March 15 and a day later went to the Phatthalung Hospital where he tested positive for Covid-19.
Tests of the other two persons will be revealed within a few days.
