Twenty-one crew members of four Vietnamese ships searching for sea cucumber were on Saturday (February 15) taken by the Royal Thai Navy to Songkhla province in the evening for quarantine for Covid-19.

The Songkhla Naval Base Hospital’s medical team screened all the crew members following a report that the Vietnamese had travelled to China during the recent Covid-19 outbreak.
Concerns were raised when Maritime Information Sharing Centre was informed on February 14 that foreign ships searching for sea cucumbers had encroached on Thailand’s maritime zone.
Sixteen fishermen did not show any symptoms of Covid-19 while the condition of the other five, who were to be screened, was yet to be confirmed.
