Kiatichai Chaerueangyot, the director of Airport Promotion Division, and Department of Airport staff were among the participants at the 145th Slot Conference held by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) from November 12 to 15 in Brisbane, Australia, to negotiate the scheduling of international flights during the summer of 2020 (March 29 to October 24).
Representatives from 14 airlines negotiated with the Department to adjust their flight schedules to Krabi International Airport.
China’s West Air is to introduce three direct flights a week between Chongqing and Krabi, and Korean Air is to fly from Seoul to Krabi twice a week.
China Eastern Airlines’ flights from Urumqi-Hefei to Krabi and Qatar Airways’ flights from Doha will each increase to seven a week.
