His Majesty the King has appointed a new lord chamberlain and director of the Crown Property Bureau, replacing Chirayu Israngkun Na Ayuthaya, who has become a privy councillor.

His Majesty issued a royal command to appoint Air Chief Marshal Satitpong Sukvimol to the posts of lord chamberlain and Crown Property Bureau director while Chirayu was appointed in another royal command.
Both commands, which were issued on Sunday with immediate effect, were published in the Royal Gazette on Monday.
In the royal command that appointed Chirayu, it stated that His Majesty saw it appropriate to add a new member to the Privy Council that was set up on June 8, 2017, so His Majesty invoked Articles 10 and 11 of the new constitution to make the appointment with immediate effect.
In the royal command that appointed Satitpong, the posts of lord chamberlain and Crown Property Bureau director became vacant after Chirayu was appointed a privy councillor. As a result, His Majesty invoked Article 15 of the constitution, Article 8 of the Crown Property Management Act, Articles 4 and 9 of the King’s Affairs Administration Act and Article 15 of the royal decree on King's servant administration to appoint Satitpong to the two posts.
Satitpong was last year appointed as the chairman of the board of directors of the Crown Property Bureau.
