DoubleTree by Hilton is a fast-growing brand that has continued to be a symbol of comfort for business and leisure travellers around the world, from welcoming guests with its signature, warm DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie, to serving the local community.
DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit opened in September 2019 with 251 guest rooms across 25 floors designed to suit all travellers’ preferences — from deluxe rooms to presidential suites. Whether you come to Bangkok for business or leisure, you will find rooms designed to fit and make sure that your stay will be an enjoyable and comfortable one.
The hotel is designed to exude a modern contemporary ambience. The service is spot on. The staff are friendly and very attentive to your convenience. The check-in process is fuss free. Every guest gets welcomed with the hotel’s famous warm chocolate chip cookies that everyone loves – a simple gesture that inspires comfort and warmth.
“Beyond the service and comfort, it is the brand personality of DoubleTree by Hilton that brings guests to this hotel,” says Annika Worth, General Manager of DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit. “We focus on extending Feel Good moments to our guests and creating an inviting atmosphere with thoughtful amenities.”
One of cornerstones of the DoubleTree by Hilton brand is its Ritual Hub – a social hub and gathering space, inviting guests to connect and engage with the locale through meaningful activities. The cooking class is one such example, where guests can experiment with creating their own pasta and rolling their dough into fun shapes, highlighting the hotel's dedication to immersive and enjoyable experiences. During my stay, I also had the chance to explore the hotel’s collaboration with Black Queen, a local bee farm, and sit through a unique honey-tasting session, which shed light on the importance of sustainable practices in beekeeping.
The hotel is also committed to Do Good Feel Good through its partnership with the Good Shepherd Foundation. Revamping a playground for the children supported by the foundation is a heartening community engagement initiative. The collaboration with the skilled mothers, creating elephant-themed souvenirs as a source of livelihood, showcases the hotel's dedication to making a positive impact.
Terryn Schlenther, Director of Operations, DoubleTree by Hilton Bangkok Ploenchit, said “It is very important for the hotel to have a clear identity because travellers would align themselves with a brand whose values they share. DoubleTree by Hilton has certainly built a strong identity by meeting the guest’s expectations and going even above and beyond. The full range of services with personalised details are designed to make sure that all the guests enjoy Feel Good moments from check-in to check-out”. Indeed, as I left the hotel, I felt uplifted and inspired.
