Legends Buakaw, Saenchai go bareknuckle this Saturday

For the first time ever, Muay Thai legend Buakaw Banchamek will go bareknuckle against Saenchai P.K. Saenchai, his best friend for decades, at a special match this Saturday.

“BKFC Thailand 5: Legends of Siam” will boast real fights featuring professional fighters in glove-off matches, with an 8pm kickoff on November 4 at Royal Cliff Hotel in Pattaya, Chonburi province.

The coming clash of the Thai fighting duo of Buakaw and Saenchai was revealed by Nick Chapman, founder and CEO of BKFC Asia and a former UK1 British Title Cage Rage (UCMMA) World Light Heavyweight champion.

“This historic encounter marks the first time these close friends will stand against each other, temporarily setting aside their friendship to unleash a barrage of unrelenting punches in pursuit of claiming victory and becoming the ultimate victor,” he said.

The barekbuckle scrap will go five rounds, each lasting two minutes, in a match expected to uphold the status of of Thai fighters as second to none. It also reaffirms that Thailand is more than capable of hosting international fight tournaments for worldwide audiences.

A total of 24 fighters from across Asia will participate in 12 exhilarating bouts on Saturday. This includes the highly anticipated World Championship fight between Po Deman of Thailand and Britain Hart of the United States, followed by the face-off for the Thai Championship fight involving Frankke-Kritsana Srisang and Saensuek Nakhon Chokchai.
