Popular light and digital art festival returns to old town

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 2023

Bangkok’s annual light and digital art festival “Awakening Bangkok 2023” returns for its 6th edition to the Pak Khlong Talat neighbourhood in Phra Nakhon district today (November 24) and will run until Sunday, December 3.

Held on the theme ‘Time Passage’, the lighting installation festival highlights the historical importance of old communities around the ever-lively Pak Khlong Talat, Bangkok’s biggest fresh flower market.

Visitors can journey through Sanam Chai, Bamrung Mueang, and Fueang Nakhon roads and admire 29 light and digital art installations on 13 historical landmarks including Yodpiman Market, Rajinee Port, Saranrom Park and Lan Khon Mueang Town Square.

There’s plenty to satisfy gourmets too with local partner restaurants such as Im En Ville, R/R, Motu Bangkok, Tai Soon Bar, and Phu Thon Bar setting up food and beverage booths all around the venue.

At Yodpiman River Walk, 2nd floor of Yodpiman Market, music outfits Seriousbaconband, Loserpop and H 3 F will entertain on November 26, December 2 and 3, respectively from 7pm.

Check out the map below for the location of the art installations.
