One for all and all for one
Chiang Mai rockers Musketeers will celebrate a decade of musical success with a concert, the aptly titled “10 Years of Musketeers”, at Voice Space of Voice TV on Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road on September 9 at 8pm.
The show will also mark the official release of the band’s third full-length studio album.
Musketeers was formed by four students of Chiang Mai University, namely Chakree “Ten” Lapboonruang on vocals, Sanwich “Toi” Wansanit on bass, and guitarists Pakphumi “Phu” Nimlamai and Rawin “Bug” Mitjitranon. They started by doing the rounds of music contests and picked up the Hunger Free Music Festival award for Best Songwriting before attending the Believe Audition Day 2007 and getting signed by Believe Records.
The rock band released its first studio album, “Left Right and Something” in 2009, which spawned the hits “Khae Bang Kham”, “Khwam Song Jam”, “Khong Khwan” and “Klai”. They followed up with “Uprising” in 2012, which also proved successful, with tracks “Dancing”, “Yak Hai Ther Long”, “Dae Khun”, “Nithan” and the melodic “Yak Hai Ther Long” becoming popular spins on the airwaves.
In 2014, Musketeers produced a song, “Jai Kwam Sam Khan”, for the romantic comedy, “Rak Mod Kaew” (“Love on the Rock”) and the song was nominated for the 24th Suphanahongse Awards.
Now, after a five-year hiatus, Musketeers are back with a third studio album, “Day & Night” at a new home, What The Duck. Singles include “Time Machine”, “Chan Khon Diew Thi Roo” and “Narika”.
