Top magazine and website picks seven most outstanding celebrities
MORE THAN 250 celebrities slipped on their glad rags to attend the HiSoParty Awards 2016 ceremony held recently at the ballroom of Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel on the theme “A Blissful Night of Elegance.”
“This year has been another beautiful year for us,” enthused an excited Preeyamon “Ying” Thanavisuth, editor in chief of “HiSoParty” magazine and HiSoParty.com.
“We founded the website 13 years ago and we were the very first magazine and website to put together social news. This year is a special occasion, so while we are as ever presenting awards to outstanding celebrities, we are also introducing the new-look HiSoParty.com to answer the needs of modern party people.
“Apart from upgrading content and redesigning HiSoParty.com to celebrate our 13th year, we have also adjusted our platform so that it’s compatible with various devices including desktop, tablet and smartphone to make it easy for readers to access our news.
“In terms of content, we now have a special Party section to present the news of parties and events, which is updated daily thus allowing celebrities to share their photos instantly. Furthermore, there is a People section presenting stories of important people, a Beauty section that focuses on health and beauty and lots of great content related to lifestyle, fashion and travel.
“There’s also the HiSoParty Channel which presents video clips from events of the year,” Preeyamon said.
The awards ceremony is one of the biggest events of the year in terms of gathering celebrities from across Thailand under one roof and this year was no exception, with guests first enjoying a sit-down dinner prior to the announcement of seven main awards. These were: Best Party of The Year, Best Invitation Card, Most Popular Vote Party, Party Newcomer, Female Party Star, Male Party Star and Best Party Couple. The winners were selected by a panel of honorary judges, among them Naphalai Areesorn, Kullawit Laosuksri, Suriyon Sriorathaikul, Dr Ausanee Mahagitsiri Leonio, Pattharapol Puengboonpra and Nichakul Kitayanubhongse.
The elegant night started with the delivery of a Porsche 718 Boxster to the winner of the Silent auction, Piboonkate Nithianantporn, and the donation of part of the revenue to Half-Way Home represented by Saowanee Phromchart.
Then came the moment everybody was waiting – the announcement of the winners of those seven awards. Best Invitation Card was given for The World Extraordinaire by EmQuartier, Party Newcomer went to Ploychompoo Ampuch, Most Popular Vote to the grand opening of Dinosaur Planet by FWR Company, Female Party Star to Boonyapa Benjarongkakul, Male Party Star to Varit Hongsananda, Best Party Couple to Sikanya Saktidej Bhanubandh and Na-chanok Ratanadaros and Best Party for The Sound of MahaSamutr by Pace Development Corporation.
Celebrities attending the dinner and ceremony included Pattharapol “Lee” Puengboonpra, Monlahcha and Chutimon Skulthai, Suriyon Sriorathaikul, Dr Ausanee Mahagitsiri Leonio, Worawut and Suwanna Silpa-archa, Sorapoj Techakraisri, Nichaya Chaiyawan, Suree Rattanahiranya, Suwadee Puengboonpra, Duangkaew Bhakdibhumi, Siriyos Devahastin na Ayudhya, Krongkarn Chamanan, Sombatsara Teerasaroch, Saton Tantraporn, ML Ploynapat Leenutaphong, Varavuth Laohapongchana, Akarat Vanarat, and Nattavut Trivisvav.
