Malaysia’s Asean Celebrity Amazing Race
Amazing Race anyone? Once again, Malaysia played host to the Asean Celebrity Explore Quest Malaysia 2015, with 95 celebrities, media and tour agents from 10 Asean nations taking part in the event.
Themed “Malaysia in My Heart”, the amazing race-like event took place through three states – Kuala Lumpur, Perak, and Kedah – with activities involving exploration, corporate social responsibility, homestays, and photography competitions, just as in previous years.
The participants travelled from Kuala Lumpur to Perak by bus, then to Langkawi by ferry, while taking part in exciting challenges and activities that emphasise culture, people, nature and food, along the way.

Some of this year’s celebrities included Malaysian actress and TV presenter, Sazzy Falak; Brunei actress Nina Iskandar; Philippines model and singer Jacob Benedicto; Singaporean radio deejay Aura Shai; Miss South East Asia Tourism Ambassadress 2015, Yada Theppanom from Thailand; bestselling Vietnamese author Nguyen Ngoc Thach; Miss Myanmar International 2015 Emerald Nyein; Indonesian actress Vicky Zainal; and Cambodian actor, singer, model and presenter Yem Sam Onn.
Organised by Tourism Malaysia, with Malaysia Airlines as the official airline, Asean Celebrity Explore Quest Malaysia 2015 also had the support of Sunway Lagoon, Perbadanan Putrajaya, Perak Tourism Management Berhad and Langkawi Development Authority.
