Find good parties in Bangkok

Roaring with Rivera
House DJ Sandy Rivera jets in from the music-fuelled streets of Brooklyn to Bangkok’s Live RCA tonight. A deck maestro whose formative beginnings were consumed with a passion for sounds like Spanish funk, hip-hop beats, early electro and the burgeoning explosion of house, he is today regarded as one of the scene’s finest with a string of global hits under his belt. Entry is free before 10pm, and a group of six gets a free bottle of vodka.

Bongos and beats
Percussionist extraordinaire Num T-Bone jams with resident DJ Alex Fischer for a house music session with tribal flavours tonight at Oskar Bistro on Sukhumvit Soi 11 as he returns to the club for a monthly residence. Entry is free. Call (02) 255 337.

 Down in the depths
Going deep, dark and heavy on low frequencies, Kontraband returns to Dark Bar on Ekkamai tomorrow with special guest MC Dan Stezo on the mic. After dropping the iconic “The Soul Tape” with Lenzman earlier this year, Stezo released “Psychonaut” with Redeyes on the French label Vandal LTD. With more work in the pipeline, the stellar talent is slowly carving out his particular take on the genre. Entry with a vodka shot is Bt200.

 Fresh and futuristic
Ku De Ta Bangkok near Chong Nonsi BTS is hosting a party tomorrow night with four of Bangkok’s most prolific DJs. Punters can enjoy refreshing and cutting-edge sounds by DJs Mikey Mike, Octo, Knatz and Sum1 that span various genres and musical influences. Entry is free, and there’s a promotion of wine by bottle. Call (02) 108 2000.

 All jazzed up
