The Saphan Siang campaign and World Vision mark International Migrants Day on Thursday with an art exhibition "Journey of Voices", which opens tomorrow at the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC).

The overall estimate of migrants working in Thailand currently stands at 3.5 million, at least 2million of them hailing from Myanmar.
Running through December 21, the show features art installations inspired by migrant workers’ contributions to fishing communities in Thailand. The interactive display includes the installation of a life-size sculpture of a fishing boat, a photography exhibit, a 16-channel video installation, and a large-scale 3D infographic display.
The reception is being held on Thursday evening at 6.30 in the Multi-function room on the first floor.
On International Migrants Day there will be a press conference and discussion, focusing on ways of promoting a positive image of migrant workers. Panellists will talk about their experiences with migrant workers. Videos, including films produced by migrant children themselves, and by the Saphan Siang campaign, will be screened. There will also be a special performance, reflecting child/migrant labour.
